Can you run Mac OS X within Virtual PC 2007 on Windows?

Does anyone know if Mac OS X can be run within Virtual PC 2007 under Windows?

I've searched and can't find any evidence of this being possible. I am thinking about possibly doing this because I would like to do some software testing on Mac OS X, and I would rather spend less for just the OS than buy a Mac Mini.

Mac OS X - $129.00
Mac Mini - $599.00

If anyone has any clues please let me know.

Update 5/22/2007:
The day I originally posted this, I also contacted Ben Armstrong, through his blog (Virtual PC Guy), and asked hime if this is possible with Virtual PC 2007. Here's the reply I got from him:

This is not possible for three reasons:

        1) Apple does not allow this in their OS licensing

        2) Mac OS X specifically checks to ensure that it is installing on Apple hardware

        3) Mac OS X requires that the computer has an APIC - which we do not emulate

Cheers,

Ben

There we go, a definate answer of No. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to look for another solution. I think I remember reading somewhere that VMWare supports it...

If I find out more into, I'll post it here.

I'm looking to do the same thing to verify that my web apps work under OS X.

Closest thing I've seen so far is a PPC emulator from PearPC. Instructions are online at:
www.windowsdevcenter.com/.../PearPC.html

Haven't had time to try it yet. If you figure out a way, let me know.

I'd love to find the same thing. I'm running winXP as my primary OS on a Mac Pro, but would love to get OSX to run inside Virtual PC 2007 as a guest OS. I have the Mac discs which came with the system, but can't get them to boot in VPC.

Ok, you can't run Mac OSX on a VPC07 but you can run on CherryOS (discontinued but down loadable as a torrent) and on PearPC which is the URL I added as a link. Good luck.

I have been useing OSX86 for a few months now and it works very well. osx86 is the real Mac OS X 10.4 operating system hacked to run on a PC. I run it on a Dell Dimension 3100 and it is really fast. iv also ran it on VMWare in windows XP and Vista. you can download the torrent here it has lots of seeds:

thepiratebay.org/.../..._X_10.4.6_x86_Install_DVD_(JaS)

Heres the official site:

wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

it even runs PPC apps

the first download link is For osx86 10.4.6, this one is for osx86 10.4.8 (this one is compatible with more hardware so get this one instead: thepiratebay.org/.../...Intel_SSE2_SSE3_incl._PPF1
If you have any problems with that torrent look for "Mac OS X 10.4 (jaS)" capitalize the S. I will watch this blog .

I have in fact managed to get the OSx86 working on my Toshiba M100 notbook.Except for the fact my WiFi didnt work nor did my sound Tong but it was much fun to be had - i then formatted back to Vista after that... It's funny how we all hate M$ yet it's still the most customisable OS i have found without needing to know how to do Linux crap...
