I just finished migrating to BlogEngine.NET...

12. February 2008

I just finished migrating my blog over to use BlogEngine.NET. The process was very painless. I only had to do two things: 1) write a sql script to import my posts/comments/tags from my old blog into BlogEngine, and 2) setup some redirect pages to redirect traffic to the new urls.

Now, I just need to find or create a better theme to use.

Is blog engine safe?

How do you mean "safe"?

If you're referring to the way is stores you login credentials; BlogEngine uses the ASP.NET Membership API's for the login functionality so it's as safe in this regard as any other ASP.NET 2.0 application.

Good morning,
Great to see your post. But the same i am trying for my site which is not working i.e. i have downloaded BlogEngine.net 1.3 version and using as a subfolder
of my existing site. It is not working. If i will create virtual directory then only it is working. Since last one week i am struggling with it. Thanks for your help if you can.

I haven't setup BlogEngine.NET to run within a sub-folder of a website. I think all you need to do is change some of the app.config settings to tell BlogEngine where it resides.
