Are we afraid of Technology?

Some may disagree with me on this one, but this is what I think. I think the anti-trust stuff going on with Microsoft is actually kind of putting a damper on the technological advancement of the operating systems (Windows) for pc’s.

For example, the two technologies code named Mira and Freestyle. Microsoft might actually get in more trouble if they release them to soon.

And, Why you ask? This is because those to technologies have no rival in the operating system world. Now, pardon me, but I think that’s a bunch of crap. It is almost like the Department of Justice is afraid of technology.

I say that we shouldn’t keep Microsoft from releasing new technologies in the operating system that they sell. Don’t hinder our ability to grow technologically. We shouldn’t be afraid.

Now, I have to say that I do understand the whole monopoly thing, but couldn’t we approach it better? Now, don’t get my wrong, I do believe that competition drives innovation. But, the ones who have a monopoly, sometimes can also be innovative.
